CAT 2010 – An Attempt to Make it Glitch Free

In order to make CAT 2010 GLITCH-FREE test, it has been decided to provide more time to it.
Its official: CAT 2010 will be held for longer duration to offer a glitch free test experience to the candidates. The information on an early start for CAT2010 and extended test window has been confirmed by the CAT Convener Prof. Himanshu Rai of IIM Lucknow.
Speaking about CAT 2010 Prof. Rai said, “CAT 2010 will be held from Wednesday, October 27 to Tuesday, November 23, 2010. The window for CAT 2010 will be 20 days and the test will be held in two slots each day."
“There will be logical breaks in between the exam such as those for Diwali,” CAT 2010 Convener Prof Himanshu Rai told.
According to the government calendar for 2010, the period between October 27 and November 23 has three gazette and three restricted holidays.
The test will be held in the same 32 cities as it was in 2009, but the number of test centers will be reduced, he added.
The official announcement of CAT 2010 will be made on the last Sunday of August 2010, i.e. August 29, 2010.
The IIMs will release the CAT advertisement in newspapers on the last Sunday of August and the registration and form sales process will begin three days after that.
 The application fee for taking CAT 2010 will remain the same as last year. 'There is no change in the fee; it will be Rs. 1400 for the General candidates and Rs. 700 for the SC/ST/OBC candidates,' confirmed Prof. Rai.
